Who am I?

Lilian Delahaije

Mijn naam is Lilian Delahaije, 59 jaar. Ik duik sinds oktober 2002.

Ik ben begonnen in Nederland, en ik heb me lid gemaakt van een duikclub genaamd "Nemo". Ik had 5 buitenduiken gemaakt, toen ik naar Thailand op vakantie ging.

Daar wilde ik ook graag gaan duiken, maar had nog geen brevet. Daarom heb ik in Koh Phi Phi de Padicursus "Open Water" gedaan.
Ik maakte ook kennis met de onderwaterfotografie. En daar mijn grote hobby fotograferen is, heb ik ook de "Advanced cursus" gedaan, met als specialty onderwaterfotografie.
Mijn lerares zei toen al, dat ik hiermee moest doorgaan. En dat heb ik ook gedaan. Inmiddels ben ik 2*instructeur NOB/CMAS en heb al meer dan 800 duiken gemaakt. Wat betekend, dat ik heel veel onderwater foto's en filmpjes heb gemaakt.

started in the Netherlands, and I joined a diving club called "Nemo". I had made 5 outdoor dives when I went on holiday to Thailand.

I also wanted to go diving there, but did not have a license yet. That is why I did the Padic course "Open Water" in Koh Phi Phi. I also became acquainted with underwater photography. And since my big hobby is photographing, I also did the "Advanced course", with as a specialty underwater photography. My teacher already said that I should continue with this. And that's what I did. I am now 2 * instructor NOB / CMAS and have already made more than 800 dives. Which means that I have made a lot of underwater photos and videos.

Camera

Thuis ben ik in het internet naar een camera en onderwater behuizing gaan zoeken. Ik kocht een Olympus C5000 met een onderwater behuizing de P19.

In mei ging ik naar Egypte, Hurghada, waar ik heel veel foto’s heb gemaakt. Maar ik was niet tevreden over de ingebouwde flitser. Daarom kocht ik een externe flitser, de Epoque ES-150-DS.
Later heb ik ook nog een externe macrolens, Epoque DML-2, gekocht samen met een externe groothoeklens, Epoque DCL-20. Een fantastische aankoop.

Inmiddels heb ik deze vervangen door een JVC-Everio filmcamera en daarna ook nog een GoPro en ben gaan filmen, de link vind je hier onderin.

At home I went looking for a camera and underwater housing in the internet. I bought an Olympus C5000 with an underwater housing the P19.

In May I went to Egypt, Hurghada, where I made a lot of photos. But I was not satisfied with the built-in flash. That's why I bought an external flash, the Epoque ES-150-DS.
Later on I also bought an external macro lens, Epoque DML-2, together with an external wide-angle lens, Epoque DCL-20. A fantastic purchase. 

I have now replaced it with a JVC-Everio filmcamera and later a GoPro and  started filming, you can find the link at the bottom. 

Macro photography

Mijn grote passie is macrofotografie, vooral naaktslakjes in alle soorten en maten. Maar ook grote vissen boeien me. Daarbij ben ik ook zeer actief met fotograferen boven water.

Inmiddels heb ik al een grote collectie aan onderwater foto’s. Vandaar dat ik gestart ben met een eigen website.

Natuurlijk hoop ik nog veel duikvakanties te maken om mijn fotocollectie uit te breiden. Neem een kijkje in de foto galerij en ontdek hoe mooi mijn fotowereld is.

My big passion is macro photography, especially slugs in all shapes and sizes. But big fish also fascinate me. I am also very active with photography above water.

I already have a large collection of underwater photographs. That is why I started with my own website.

Filmcamera en GoPro10

In 2009 ben ik begonnen onderwater te filmen met een JVC-Everio in een onderwaterhuis. Daarbij heb ik ook nog twee video lampen gekocht van Metalsub, waar ik nog steeds blij mee ben. Ze geven natuurlijk licht en ik gebruik ze nog steeds bij de GoPro.

Toen de kwaliteit in 2018 verbeterde, ben ik overgestapt op een GoPro 8 en later een GoPro 10. Deze kwaliteit is veel beter. Ook is het veel makkelijker te gebruiken en veel lichter om mee te nemen in je bagage.

In 2009 I started filming underwater with a JVC-Everio in an underwater housing. In addition, I also bought two video lights from Metalsub, which I am still happy with. They give natural light and I still use them with the GoPro

When the quality improved in 2018, I switched to a GoPro 8 and later a GoPro 10. This quality is much better. It is also much easier to use and much lighter to carry in your luggage.
